In November 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly Donald Trump's chief strategist, visited the UK to deliver a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The speech was interrupted by hundreds of demonstrators, and Bannon, scheduled to travel that evening, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Protesters slowed down my talk don't think I can catch the plane we are heading to heathrow".

Epstein responded: "There. Is a Gulf Air departing at 9:50 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an amazing helper".

These messages were published on this week together with over 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the late financier convicted of sex crimes.

The disclosure by the House oversight committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's identity is redacted. Media outlets managed to establish his identity by matching the dates, events, and locations referenced.

For example, Epstein discusses chartering a jet from the UK for the redacted user in the messages, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon participated in the Edinburgh conference on November 14, and delivered the speech at the Oxford two days later.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any wrongdoing, did not reply on the request for comment.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon served as the president's key advisers in the run up to the 2016 election and in the early days of his first administration, but resigned from the White House in 2017.

He has acknowledged he was making a film about Epstein prior to his death and allegedly has around 15 hours of recordings. In a live taping of his show earlier this year, he said: "We plan to publish the series, the multi-part documentary, next year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed documents suggest Bannon's connection with Epstein extended than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile at times seeming to act like a personal assistant.

A few days prior to the conversation in which Epstein seemed to arranged a private plane for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "what's it like to have the highest-paid booking agent in the world ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "U r pretty good assistant", to which Epstein responded "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a trip to "Abu Dhabi" in another message, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you are taken care of."

UK Politics Discussed in Exchanges

The released messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein talking about UK politics in 2018.

Earlier on the same day his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the EU exit issue this day with Nigel, Boris and Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a allusion to Theresa May, the struggling British leader at the period, he added: "The guys are trying to move on. May today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "In my view staying as much as you can uk. Ideal- so others see the dedication of your follow through."

Soon after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa may survive". Bannon answered: "It seems unlikely however the people here have little courage" and noted "Johnson ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; Davis - someone has to step up".

May was finally toppled in May 2019 after surviving two votes of no confidence in late 2018.

A spokesman for the political party informed the BBC: "Farage has not been in a meeting with Steve Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest such a meeting occurred.

The Congress will vote soon on whether the justice department should make public all its records concerning its probe into Epstein, who passed away in jail in that year.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with powerful figures was renewed recently after the release of more than 20,000 documents from his archives.

A portion of those mentioned Trump, who has repeatedly rejected any impropriety. The president was a friend of Epstein's for a long time, but says they parted ways in the early 2000s, a couple of years prior to Epstein was first arrested.
